Garden Visits

A fun scene from Special Plants nursery near ChippenhamI've written lots of articles about the gardens I've visited, which have their own label (Garden Visit), but this can be quite irksome to search through to find what you'd like to read.

This page is designed to make that search a little easier. Within each article you'll find further links to give you more information on the garden featured.

At the end of this page, I've added some links to more general websites, blogs and books which you may find useful.

You may also like my posts on visits to shows such as Chelsea, or the talks I've attended.

Malvern Show has a blog all of its own as we had a bloggers get together there one year. It's a great resource for anyone planning to visit the show or its autumn cousin.

Around Wiltshire

  • Garden Walks - a new strand for 2015 and 2016, where I visit gardens open for the NGS within walking distance of my house. This post introduces the concept and also features visits to The Courts and Lacock Abbey in March and February respectively.

  • The Bloedel Reserve, Seattle - July 2011 (with links to subsequent posts), plus a sunny day revisit in 2014
  • All the posts about public and private gardens, plus the public planting from my visits to the Garden Bloggers Flings in Seattle (2011), Portland (2014), Toronto (2015), and Washington DC (2017)
